Renovation Update 2

First of all, we want to give a huge THANK YOU!!! to our amazing clients and their pets for all of their patience over the last couple months with our renovation. We wouldn’t have made it through without all of your support.

We are now 99.9% complete with our renovation, and are back up and working at full capacity. We are able to do surgical procedures, appointments, and drop offs as normal.

We plan on hosting an open house sometime in the Fall so all of our clients can come in and see the whole new hospital and meet all of our staff.

Again, thank you for all of your support and patience, we love our clients and we love your pets!!

Renovation Update!

Renovation Updates, 6/19/2024

Hello!
We are officially working on renovating our treatment space! That being said, we are changing how appointments and pickups are working. Please read for the latest updates.

When you arrive for your appointment, COME ON IN to our new lobby! We will escort you into an exam room with your pet.

If you are picking up medications or food, please come right on in the front door to the reception desk to pick up.

Due to us renovating the treatment area, we are unable to provide surgical or most drop off services at this time.

Thank you to everyone, owners and pets, for your patience as we work through this renovation. It is much appreciated!

New Reminder System

Hello!
The previous pet portal we used, Rapport, is no more! We now would like to introduce you to PetDesk!
PetDesk is a free, user friendly app that provides all you could need – You can schedule appointments directly into our calendar (without making a phone call!), request refills of your medications (easier than before!), and view your pet’s vaccine history, medications, lab work, and their vaccine and bloodwork reminders.

Download the app and use the email that we have on file for you, and your all of your pets information will automatically import into the app.

This all being said, we will not be sending out any more postcard reminders so please make sure we have your best email so we can get in contact with you. This is new to us too, so please be patient with us! We will do our best to answer any questions you may have!

Hello!
We will be officially starting our renovation construction on MONDAY 3/25! That being said, this will come with some changes as to how we are handling appointments.

The main entrance that we all are used to using will be for CONSTRUCTION PERSONNEL ONLY! Please do not try to use the front door for your safety and theirs.

When you arrive for your appointment, stay in your car and call the office at (207)797-4855.

When we have a room available, a technician will come to you and escort you and your pet into the building through a back entrance into a temporary exam room.

Because we have limited space in our treatment area for exam rooms, we may have you return to your vehicle to wait if your pet needs any procedures, treatments, or if we are getting medications ready for them. This just helps us be able to move appointments along in a timely manner!

We will be reminding you of our new arrival protocol when you call to schedule an appointment, and when we are confirming your appointments.

If you are picking up medications or food, please call us when you come to pick it up and we will bring it out to your car for you – We won’t have a lobby for you to come into as the main entrance is for construction personnel ONLY!

As for other changes, we have updated our reminders system and are now using PetDesk! There is an app available on the App Store and it makes it extremely easy to communicate with us through the app, or texting and emailing. This being said, please make sure we have a correct email address on file as we will no longer be sending out postcard reminders. Reminders will all be coming by email, or you can view them on the PetDesk App. PetDesk is new to us too, so please let us know if you have any questions and we will do our best to answer them!

Exciting New Changes!

There are some exciting new happenings here at North Deering Veterinary Hospital!

First, we would like to introduce Dr. Kristen Matzkin. She previously practiced in Gray for over 12 years after relocating to Maine from Pennsylvania. She is a welcomed new member of the NDVH family and along with Dr. Kim Tippie, one of the new owners of the clinic. Dr.’s Matzkin and Tippie are proud to maintain a locally owned small business. They attended veterinary school together at the University of Pennsylvania over 25 years ago and have been practicing veterinary medicine and surgery since. Our team’s goal is to provide our amazing patients and clients with caring service and support to build a lasting relationship throughout their pet’s life.

Although Dr. Mark Mills is easing into retirement, he has graciously agreed to stay on board with us part time. We are grateful for Dr. Mills’ continued dedication ensuring the highest quality medicine for all of our NDVH patients.

We would also like to congratulate Dr. Pat Chase on her retirement after her many years providing excellent care to patients and wonderful service to her clients. You may still see her with us from time-to-time filling in!

And lastly, thank you again for everyone’s patience as we continue our facelift!
