Kristen Matzkin, VMD

Dr. Kristen Matzkin grew up in New England and earned a BS in marine and freshwater biology from the University of New Hampshire in 1995. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1999. She remained in Pennsylvania until 2011 working as a small animal veterinarian while starting a family. She was thrilled to return to New England, moving to Maine to be closer to family and spend more time enjoying year-round outdoor activities. Dr. Matzkin lives in the Portland area with her husband, two children, and a small menagerie of beloved pets.  Professionally she enjoys internal medicine and strengthening the human-animal bond.  In her free time she enjoys  paddle boarding, biking, skiing- basically anything spending time outside. She is excited to become part of the NDVH family.
